Follow The Star

For the last few months - My Mister, myself and Miss Megs have been very busy rehearsing for the show Follow The Star - this weekend we performed the nativity twice (Friday and Saturday) - both nights were sold out and it was a great success - the audience enjoying it just as much as we had rehearsing it - certainly Mr Ben had a fantastic time shouting out out all the answers!

The Ladykillers

We met Kathie and Ian in Liverpool to see The Ladykillers @ The Playhouse

It was the last day before the play transferred to London - and we had heard great reviews and  it didn't disappoint. 

A fabulous cast led by my favourite Peter Capaldi - a hilarious script from Graham Lineham - some spectacular physical comedy - the cleverest set and effects I've seen in a long time. Such a funny experience - we all loved it.

And afterwards Kathie and I played excited school girls at the stage door collecting autographs and photographs -

So good to catch up with Kathie - we both work far too much these days - but an afternoon and evening of theatre and good food makes up for a lot!

Bellowhead @ Pacific Road

Al and I had really great night at the Pacific Road Arts Centre 

{ and I got a new T shirt}

It was another wonderful gig by the fabulous Bellowhead!

Last time we saw them it was a magical summers eveing at Gawsworth Hall 

This time it was a standing gig  - just enough room to dance - and boy did I dance!

The band were as fantastic as ever - so playful and confident in their musicianship -

I love them :)

On Remembrance Sunday...

...he was on fine form in the service - with an answer for everything - calling out - but when the 2 minutes silence came he was quiet and still - and that makes me so proud of him.

.... when it's  bright and clear..... 




....Mr Ben and I cycled to church... when we got there he found a giant mushroom on the grass...

....Miss Megs joined us outside to enjoy the sun... and all before Sunday School even started!

Bonfire Night 2011 - Fireworks on the Mersey

A beautiful night - clear, still and not too cold.

As usual we parked up in town and walked down to West Bank to watch the fireworks on the River Mersey. 

Before the show Mr Ben had fun with some sparklers....

... the actual firework were rather fabulous this year - reflecting in the water.

 

Kathie, Ian and Miss Eleanor were meant to come with us - but were held up in traffic. They arrived just as the fireworks started and we met up afterwards!

Pirate Ghost!

Benjamin was quite certain that he wanted to be a Pirate Ghost for Halloween this year - and so he was - playing all the usual games at Grandma's after school.
