Tinsel and Fig Leaves
We've been busy for months rehersing "Make Me A World" -
a musical play about the stories in the books of Genesis and Exodus -
Creation, Adam and Eve, Noah and Moses.
We performed it this week at Church on Thursday/Friday/Saturday nights -
It was lots of fun
Megs and I were Angels....
.... while Al was a rather daring Adam!

Bellowhead - As Fabulous As Ever!
We might be exhausted from the work/Make Me A World Rehersal combination
But we still had a brilliantly rocking night at The Lowry -
support from a new band "Mama Rosin" { French speaking Swiss boys playing cajun music!}
and the magnificent Bellowhead playing numbers from their new album "Broadside" -
as well as old favourites like London Town and the perenniel encore of New York Girls!
{They sounded even better than this tonight -every gig gets better!}
And a special treat -
the rather lovely lead singer Jon Boden came into Bella Pasta as were were eating
and sat down one table away from us -
I was really good and didn't pap him -
though I shot him more than a few admiring glances!

Get your spots on
Sadly(?) - no photos of me in my spots at school -
but it was a day of cakes, face painting and lots of Pudsey Bear fun.
Ben was rather upset about having to miss some of the live TV show -
he caught up with the highlights after Scouts and declared
"I don't appreciate how lucky I am."
With the government's cuts hitting vulnerable children harder every day -
Children in Need are more important than ever.

Bonfire Night - 2012
Megs has pointed out that our Bonfire Nights are now definitely "a tradition."
We always park in the same spot -
we join the crowds and walk down to West Bank
we drop Megs off at her friend Jamie's house
we light the sparklers for some fun before before the main event.
We thought that perhaps the fireworks weren't quite as good as past years -
but they were still spectacular.
Al tried out is new(ish) camera on the fireworks
and was rather pleased with the results.
Afterwards we carried on with a "new tradition" from last year -
meeting up with Kathie, Ian and Eleanor.
With the chaotic summer, and Megan's busy social whirl -
these three haven't been together for months!

Getting her Gold Chief Scout Award
So proud of Megan - getting her Gold Chief Scout Certificate
(her badge is already on her Explorer uniform)
at the Cheshire Awards afternoon.
{There was time for a Daddy treat of a hot chocolate before the start!}
