Hot Water

Yes - we now have hot water! After two days of boiler installing chaos - courtesy of the singing plumber - everything is up and running. Baths for everyone last night!

Climbing Trees

After yet another morning moving furniture in preparation for tomorrows new boiler installation - we had a trip out this afternoon to Marbury Country Park. A spent the time in the hides near by the Mere (he was delighted to spot a Kingfisher) - while M and B enjoyed themselves terrifying me with their tree climbing exploits

Maes Dollau Fun Day

A quick day trip to Maes Dollau to enjoy the annual fun day. Uncle A and Auntie S were staying at the caravan with S and C - so the 4 cousins had a whole afternoon to play together.

A well deserved joint 3rd place for M and B in the fancy dress - B demonstrated his Transformer 'moves' to the spectators!

Wedding Anniversary

Yesterday was our 13th Wedding Anniversary - and we had great night out. We went to Manchester - ate at Cafe Rouge and saw Die Hard 4.0 at the Printworks.

In other news I had my hair cut yesterday - it is now much shorter and I am very happy with it - so here is the new me.

Tudor Girls

M had a great trip out yesterday to Speke Hall with her big cousin E. It was a special Tudor Day and the girls has a fab time dressing up in the Tudor costumes.

Busy having fun

After doing probably rather too much during the first week of the holidays - we were out most of every day - I've tried to keep things a bit quiter this week. We still seems to have done rather a lot though. It was Gma's birthday on Tuesday - so we made birthday cards and cake and had a trip to Otterspool Prom for a play at our favourite playground.

Wednesday was a trip to Gallifrey's house where M and B had a lovely time playing in the garden with E (thank you to Gallifrey for the picture)

Every afternoon M has been to the Bitesize dance/drama workshops at the Brindley and on Thursday morning she did the Floaty Fairies crative workshop there too.

And other than that I've been trying to tidy up around the house and have managed to do a respectable amount of scrapping trying to catch up on my enormous backlog of photographs

How much?

Had a horrible time last Friday when British Gas came to service our back boiler. The engineer ended up disconnecting it from the mains leaving us with no hot water. It's dangerous and seems to be beyond help. Yesterday another man came from BG to quote for a new Combi Boiler - £4,400! Needless to say we are having a few other quotes - because there is no way we can pay that.
