Father's Day

A bit late posting this - but A enjoyed lots of cuddles and fuss on Father's Day.

And when cousin's S and C arrived at Nana's house - there was fun to be had of the DS variety...

Tiny toes

Writing school reports takes too much time, hence no blogging this past week. But now that I've finished my contribution I have a chance to say that we had a fantastic time last weekend - Uncle J, Auntie K and baby K all came up to stay at Gma's house.

M and B were so excited - and M spent as much time as she could playing with little K (who isn't as little as she was!) - lieing next to her on the play mat - chatting and singing to her. K is just gorgeous - smiling and reaching out for toys. I got lots of cuddles (is there anything better than a baby falling asleep on your shoulder?) - Just look how beautiful she is.

They left on Monday - and I've already booked a room so we can visit them at the end of August - M is counting the days already...

Diagnosis....

....it's been a long road - but on Monday's CAMHS appointment B was diagnosed with High Functioning Autism.

It's not the end of the world.

In the last year he has learnt so much - and he as great potential to develop - so we just keep doing what we have been doing all long. And that is a whole lot of love.

A wet Chester Parade

It poured with rain as the beavers, cubs and scouts formed up. It carried on raining as they paraded through the the city to the cathedral..
...but at least it had stopped by the time they came out after the service (mind you, once they started the march back to the parade ground it started raining again! )

Come the autumn, M and C move up to Scouts - last parade as cub! Next year B will in green too - where is the time going?

Three happy cousins....

... who finally got to spend the day together. We MUST get them together more often.

Look who's bouncing along....

at the Beaver Sports Day?

And guess who came second in his race? -I was so happy for him - it might as well have been a gold medal at the olympics - because, let's face it, races are not really B's thing. This is the lad who has had a block of physio/OT this year for his gross and fine motor problems.

And even better - our Beaver Colony won first place in the the competition - B, couldn't wait to get his hads on the trophy!

In the Lake District....

...for a long (and hot) weekend....

...we explored Leighton Moss RSPB reserve - A took lots of pictures,I saw a March Harrier and B found lots of bugs which he tried to take home (sorry B!)...

...M loved looking around the World of Beatrix Potter exhibition....

...we went on the steamers and sailed up Windemere from Lakeside to Bowness...

....and rode on the steam train from Haverthwite to Lakeside where B romped around the aquarium...

.... and nearly got stuck in the mud at Arnside!
