Vintage Fair

The last weekend in September is always the Vintage Fair at Victoria Park. B couldn't wait to try out the giant slide.

We met up with cousins S and C for a manic play (M pointed out later that it's very hard when one runs one way, one runs the other and B is bouncing up and down in front of her!)

Where did Spetember go?

As always the return to school is a mad and busy time, and as always the blog has been neglected :(

So, a brief recap!

The highlights in September...

B started Cubs (only one injury so far!)

We had a lovely, sunny day at Martin Mere

M finding out out that life at High School is rather exhausting (up and down the stairs, running from the Upper to the Lower Wing) but is (in her own words) pretty amazing!

A trip to see Dinnerladies at the Lowry - if you liked the TV show, you'll love the stage show - and it was a riot :)

And the biggest news - B has been given DLA (Disability Living Allowance) - I expected a fight, but the DWP just said yes. I still can't really believe it, but it will make such a difference.

Off to High School...

A day in Docklands

An exciting trip out with K :) Uncle J certainly wears that baby sling well!

Here is the best way to keep B out of trouble on a train - though he did look up to see the Olympic site at Stratford :)
M was only too happy to keep K entertained
Our destination was Thames Barrier Park - like most of Docklands developments it's new and rather swish.
The cafe was rather nice :)
There was cool playground - and we looked for escaped baby Rachnoss spiders - but only found caterpillars "Can I take the poisonous caterpillar home with me?" inquired B.

The 'fountain plaza' was great - of course B got soaked - and it was only as we left we found the no photographs sign.... so if I suddenly go quiet you know that Boris Johnson has been after me.
After a bit of fiddling around A managed to get a shot of us all...
...but look, we wore K out!

A family Bank Holiday

We made an EARLY start on Saturday morning (all in the car and on the road by 5.50am!) and headed off to see Uncle J, Auntie K and little K. M kept herself entertained on the way down by looking out for cars with Warrington Flags on going to the Challenge Cup final at Wembly.
We had time for lots of cuddles before K had her lunch and a sleep.

Little K does smile and giggle a lot - especially when playing with Mbut show her a camera and the smiles all go!
I took B to Goodmayes park for a run around, before we popped up to Hainault Country park.
B loved pushing the pram :)
