A West Bank Wedding

Meg's best friend's Mum and Step Dad got married today,
this wedding has been a long time in hte planning,
and it was lovely to see Mel and David finally "tie the knot."

Jamie {not a fan of dresses} looked absolutely gorgeous in her blue 1950's styled dress,
teamed with the cutest converse traines.
She's wearing the dress again for prom - just like Megs is wearing her bridesmaid dress too.

Gauntlet Half Term Show

Before I worked full time, I would sometimes meet up with Al for afternoon tea.

 Since going full time, our afternoon meetings are a thing of the past,
but becasue it was half term {and I'm back driving after weeks of lifts with my arm in a sling}
I managed to meet up with Al for the 3pm Gauntlet show -
{Megs was off shopping in Warrington with friends - Ben happy at home}

Of course Al got some great shots.

 {And we followed the show with a lovely afternoon tea at Fryers!}

Half Term Bowling

Megs was off doing "wedding prep" with her friend Jamie -
the weather was dreadful, ruling out most of our favourite day trips,
and my arm was just out of the sling after getting hte all clear from the hospital,
so when Kathy and Eleanor came over, bowling was the only choice left.

Ben bowled up a storm - scoring 131 in hte second game!

{And look how tall he is here - there's 11 months between Ben and Elz -
perhaps she will start to catch up a bit soon}

This Bank Holiday Weekend...

The weather was rather mixed - sunny spells and incredibly heavy rain showers.

We stayed local - Llandudno, Conwy and the RSPB -
with a drive along the coast road and down the valley on Saturday evening.

As always family time at the caravan is just lovely.

An unexpected trip to see McBusted!

So here's how it happened.

Megs BF Jamie was meant to be seeing McBusted in Manchester
on Saturday night  with her mum and sisters.

Jamie was ill and couldn't go -
so her mum managed to get 4 tickets for the Tuesday date at Liverpool.
The plan was for Megs and Jamie to go along with 2 other friends.

Come Monday evening - the 2 other friends had pulled out(!?) -
and Megs was worried about just going alone with Jamie.
So I offered to go along (and promised to NOT be the embarrasing mum.)

Come Tuesday evening there was still one ticket spare -
so one of Jamie's little sisters came along too!

 It was a really fun night - lots of screaming from the girls
{not just Megs and Jamie - but rather the whole arena}

and lots (and lots) of running and jumping from the McFly and Busted boys!
{Honestly - it's like they all have ADHD!}

HUGE thanks to Jamie's mum Mel who arranged it all!

Wales for the Bank Holiday

After all the shows, gigs, family news, weddings, broken bones etc...

...a quiet few days in Wales
- with trips into Llandudno and the Steam Extravaganza,
much sitting in coffee shops,
and wandering round the reserve at RSPB Conwy.
