A very cold day at Martin Mere....

.... sadly most of the paths and the playground were closed due to the ice, but we the otters and the swan feed :)

Christmas with added Cousins (part one)

After the theatre we called to see cousins C and S

The children were kept busy decorating bicsuits...

...for a little while at least...

... before they discovered a great game of 'pile on' on the sofa.

Peter Pan

M and I were given tickets to see Peter Pan (thanks J!) at the Empire in Liverpool - it was a great Panto - lots of singing, shouting and booing!

Christmas Day - At Nana's House

Christmas Day - at Grandma's

Christmas Day - At Church

There was a lovely family service at Church on Christmas Morning - followed by more handing over of presents :)

Christmas Day - Morning

To say M was excited would be a HUGE understaement - she bounded into our room at 7am (having woken B up first) - and the present opening commenced.

Singing in the Snow

A musical moment during this mornings snowy walk :)

Snowy morning

Ok - so not exactly much snow compared to the rest of the country - but still - SNOW!

And B did make the cutest snowman ever.

Sunday 20 December 2009

And it snowed during the nativity service....

...how perfect is that!

M was a grumpy Innkeepers Wife

B was a wriggly King

And afterwards B built Frosty the Snowman in the church carpark.

In the snow with Auntie J

Hosanna Rock

The Nativity Play at FJS was excellent as usual - I may be a bit biased? - but in my opinion this little shepherd was the best thing on the stage!

Honestly - he's meant to be acting dozy and asleep!

Christmas Fair

Service interupted - Personally I blame Ofsted...

Things were going along so swimmingly at the start of November.

Home from the caravan, bonfire night, then a great day trip to Stratford to see Twelfth Night with R and J.

It was lots of fun - the letter and the box tree scene was quite hilarious.

But.... come the Monday and THE phone call from Ofsted, and all the difficulties that has entailed.... and life outside school ground rather to a halt.

In truth there have been sleep overs, and trips to the Trafford Centre, M has been to see Scrooge at the Liverpool Empire with School, and at Church we have had the Riding Lights Theatre Company performing Origins and Lemons (both clever and funny and able to bridge the science/religion gap)

But there has also been an awful lot of work - and this will be continuing for the forseable future....
