What to do on a child free Saturday?
When, most bizarrely, there is nothing on at the theatre that we want to see
(well - there would be if we trecked down to London - but it isn't at all sensible trying to get a train on a Bank Holiday)
In the end we went to Dunham Massey.
We looked around the house, had lunch and then went for a long wander around the deer park.
It was a lovely afternoon, we saw lots of deer, as well as birds galore - just beautiful.

Off to Centenary Camp
Miss M and Mr B are off to Centenary Camp - celebrating 100 years of Scouting in Widnes.
It's the first time under canvas for Mr B, whil Miss M is an old hand after her week at Chamboree last year.
We dropped them off at Forest camp this morning - collecting them on Monday.
Meanwhile - what on earth should My Mister A and I do without them?

Riding Lights - The Narrow Road
We went to see this play/share in this act of worship at Timperley Methodist Church
It is a quite brilliant idea - and was performed with such passion. The crucifixion, was both immediate and moving, taking place on an alter, beneath a towering cross.
Well worth the journey to Machester to see it.

Pirates at the Phil
We went to the Phil for the families Pirate Concert.
Mr B was so good and listened so well.
The beautiful weather is back again - hoping the sun lasts for Easter

Some days I think I'm a taxi driver...
...having spent most of the day ferrying Miss M and her friends to the cinema and collecting them later from McDonalds - made much more difficult by the weekend lane closures on the bridge.
Looking forward to next year when we have a cinema in our own town and they can walk there themselves :)
Still, they had a great time -judging by the number of fits of giggles they had on the way home - though apparently the film "Hop" is just rubbish!

Whilst we were in London - we spent Saturday in the City
We took the train to Liverpool Street....
... then the tube to Coram's Field - just round the corner from where Uncle J works...
...the sun was shining again, and the children had a lovely time playing until dinner time...
... when we walked round the the Brunswick Centre for lunch at Giraffe.... ... it was warm enough to sit outside to eat - fantastic for April...
.... look how the sun brought out Mr B's freckles....
.... Uncle J, Auntie K and Little Miss K headed for home, while we spent the rest of the afternoon shopping (Hamleys for Mr B, Sass & Belle for Miss M) on Regent Street and in Covent Garden...
...before we headed back to Uncle J's - pretty much exhausted.

Whilst we were in London - Marsh Farm, Essex
We drove out into Essex to the lovely Marsh Farm, with it's rather super animals, playground and playbarns.
