.... with a lot of photos!
The Splash Landings Hotel has a Caribbean theme -
lots of lovely details and colour everywhere.
We ate at the neighbouring Alton Towers Hotel....
... in the beautiful Secret Garden restaurant.
Mr Ben wanted some strawberry jellybeans - the dispenser wasn't working, so we asked the shop assistant for help. This was the result! Not our fault at all!
It was astonishingly wet - but it didn't stop us trying out Rita (twice),
Hex and Oblivion before 10am!
We escaped the rain at the hotel, with 3 sessions in the pool.
The Master Blaster water coaster was one of the best features.
We ate at Flambos in the evening - a rather fabulous buffet.
It was up early again for 2 turns on Nemesis...
Arriving at Splash Landings Hotel (in the rain)

The next day we went to the theme park (in a LOT of rain)

Mr Ben wasn't impressed with Rita - which he described as "terrifying"
..... however he was delighted by the Ice Age area and the "4D" movie.

.... which did involve rather a lot of screaming!
We had 2 rides on the Runaway Minetrain...
....and a turn on the Sonic Spinball.
Eventually we were tired and wet, and it was time to head home -
Alton Towers was just great - we'd love to go back.
