A lovely bright Thursday and we escaped to Stratford-upon-Avon
The sun was shining on the swollen river -
we sat on the river terrace of the new theatre drinking coffee and eating cake -
Al took a fair few bird photos -
and then we saw our first production in the new theatre -
The Winter's Tale
The first half all intensity and passion -
and after the interval it was all a bit Peter Kay at the Tower.
Lots of clever staging details - and with music by Jon Boden-
what more could we want?
An early tea at Essence - then home - perfect day.
