We were disappointed to miss Jonathan Pryce as Shylock
in The Merchant of Venice last year at the Globe -
So how delighted we were when we found out that it was going on a world tour -
with the first stop in Liverpool!
It was a very traditional - very Globe - and all the better for that.
Never has the antisemitism been so painful exposed -
a magnificent (and surprisingly funny) production
that broke our hearts at the end.
